B2B Advertising Sales Manager
Established in 1995, The Penton Group is an independently owned, progressive and innovative organisation comprising of three leading companies within the publications, exhibitions and public relations sector, operating across Ireland.
Our diverse products and services include magazines, trade and consumer shows and exhibitions, conferences, internet products and public relations services.
The company is based on quality, innovation and values which extend beyond the realms of everyday media organisations.
Your role will be to develop relationships and generate revenues from new and existing Direct and Advertising agency clients as well as key accounts on a direct basis on the merits of our B2B publications (which target the hospitality food sectors) For print and online within the magazine portfolio.
- To identify and develop new business opportunities from the core advertiser base as well as all potential new advertisers from your given territory or client list.
- To meet agreed targets set on a consistent basis within the sales policy parameters set (eg minimum rate).
- To manage, motivate, train, inspire and drive sales team on a daily basis.
- To offer clients a total Group sell e.g. print, online, sponsorships, to best achieve their objectives.
- To prepare proposals and client correspondence.
- To develop and deliver presentations to clients.
- To contribute to the strategic development of the business.
- To support commercial production.
- To keep abreast of developments in the media and commercial advertising sectors.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in customer facing role.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in customer direct selling role.
- Proven track record in a media sales environment.
- Proven experience of achieving targets in a competitive sales environment.
- Proven experience of prospecting and delivering for new business.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of the media and advertising sectors in Northern Ireland.
- Good Contact network.
- Knowledge of media sales processes desirable.
Skills:
- Confident in sales and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate.
- Able to present to both internal and external customers at management level.

Other:
- Be prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business outside of the normal 9-5 hours of work as and when required.
- Be prepared to travel throughout Northern Ireland.
- Clean and current driving licence.
Salary is a very realistic £34K OTE plus a CAR AND BENEFITS.
