Championing the industry for 70 years, Licensed & Catering News is the most authoritative publication for the licensed, catering, hospitality and tourism industries in Northern Ireland.
Nominated for the prestigious title of Business to Business Magazine of the Year 2009 at the Irish Magazine Awards, LCN is firmly on the pulse of industry developments. Priding itself on its exceptional news and features content, LCN reports on the issues that matter most to its loyal readership.
First published in 1940, LCN magazine, as it has fondly become known, is regarded by many of its readers as the ‘Bible’ of the licensed and catering trade. The business newspaper for the hospitality industry, LCN is a firm favourite with publicans, hoteliers, restaurateurs and indeed everyone associated with this important industry.
Over the years, the hospitality industry as a whole has experienced many highs and lows. These developments have all been reported on by LCN, and it was with great pride that Penton Publications took over the publishing of this highly revered trade title in 2007.
Since then, we have listened closely to the needs and demands of the industry, which has resulted in several significant developments; the first of which is the ‘new face’ of Licensed & Catering News.
Months of planning and research went into creating the right look for the magazine – one that would combine the traditional aspects of this authoritative publication with the needs of our readers in modern times.
The new-look LCN was launched in March 2009. Continuing to offer cutting-edge news, features, reports and developments as they arise within the industry, LCN’s fresh new masthead and new compact format makes the magazine a more convenient read and is indicative of the magazine’s forward-thinking approach.
While the magazine has been slightly reduced in size, the content remains at the very top of its class. Inside you still find the breaking news, exclusive interviews and informative features that LCN has become famous for.
In addition to the monthly issues of LCN, each year we publish a special annual Licensed & Catering News Yearbook. Packed full of high profile interviews with top players in the industry, company profiles, exclusive news features, forecasts for the year ahead and much more, the new and easy to navigate Yearbook is the definitive guide to the licensed and catering industry in Northern Ireland.
